Interventional Radiology Unit
This unit is located on the second floor. It uses digital projection system and is highly efficient in performing angiography of the head, neck, upper and lower extremities and abdomen. In addition to angiography, the unit uses interventional radiology to treat some conditions through vasodilation of some narrowed blood vessels or stopping of perfusion to specific parts of the body in order to stop bleeding or stop the activity of a certain part whose function is unwanted in addition to sampling for laboratory testing.
This unit provides services to nearly 100 patients per month. It operates on a single day shift from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and sometimes longer. After 4:30 pm, staff shall be on call for emergencies.
