It is in the second level of the college organizational structure under the supervision of the Faculty of Medicine Dean and supervised directly by the Academic Affairs Dean. The deanship seeks to raise the educational process in college according to the study and exams regulations of the university.

Vice Dean Academic Affairs Tasks
1. Receiving new students at the college, providing advice and guidance on the first day’s event, and issuing college identification cards and health examinations.
2. Implementing all quality assurance and academic accreditation processes in academic programs and ensuring the quality of the educational process in the college.
3. Developing the study plan and subsequent descriptions of the program and courses whenever necessary.
4. Reviewing the annual report of the Development and Quality Unit, making amendments to the curricula to improve the quality of the programs, working to update the curricula in accordance with modern standards in medical education, and proposing initiatives to enhance academic quality and development, which may include new programs or courses, teaching methods and tools, and learning outcomes.
5. Monitoring the implementation of the curriculum and the quality of education in cooperation with the Development and Quality Unit and academic departments, in line with the college’s strategic plan.
6. Studying students’ grievances and problems, proposing appropriate solutions, and coordinating with the relevant authorities in the college.
7. Coordination of classrooms for the academic year.
8. Review student lists and distribute them to departments, assist students in registering courses, and resolve any conflict that may arise for any student.
9. Communicate with departments to identify and confirm lists of course coordinators, and work to facilitate communication between the student and course coordinators.
10. Academic follow-up of students, treatment of students who are struggling academically, treatment of absences and medical and social excuses, and medical follow-up regarding the treatment of students’ health conditions and psychological and social problems. He advises and guides students to improve their performance and academic achievement. Providing individual guidance sessions with academic and career advisors to help students identify their personal and professional goals and develop action plans to achieve them.
11. Develop an integrated plan for guiding and advising students during their studies and communicating with them after graduation.
12. Organizing seminars and orientation workshops that address topics such as choosing a specialty, preparing for a professional path, and how to build a CV and apply for jobs.
13. Identifying students who need psychological, social, and financial services and helping them overcome them in coordination with the relevant authorities at the university.
14. Study cases of course or year deletion with the student and try to help him.
15. Receiving student requests to attend internal and external conferences, submitting them to the university vice president for approval to attend and bear travel costs, and providing financial and advisory assistance to students participating in research.
16. Organizing events and workshops for students to assist in the research preparation process.
17. Implementing the executive regulations and rules for the regulations for studies and examinations for the university stage (deprivation - requests for postponement and apology) and following up on entering students’ results into the academic system.
18. Holding workshops for faculty members to disseminate international standards for examinations, develop questions, and update evaluation methods in accordance with modern standards in medical education.
19. Coordination with departments to prepare for exams and prepare invigilators. Review exams with departments before announcing results.
20. Receiving lists of students who will begin the internship from the Deanship of Admissions and Registration and holding workshops and lectures for students before the beginning of the internship year.
21. Coordination with the Personnel Affairs Department to finalize contracting procedures and distribute students into groups under the leadership of a group leader to facilitate the completion of procedures and the student’s commitment to training. Ending the procedure for issuing cards to franchise doctors and the health system.
22. Communicate with medical bodies recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties to train intern doctors.
23. Cooperation with medical colleges in various Saudi universities to receive their students for training under the supervision of the College of Medicine at King Saud University.
24. Communicating with international universities by certifying and sending graduates’ documents.
25. Responding to inquiries from external parties regarding interruption or repeat periods during the student’s studies.
26. Developing a mechanism to support and discover outstanding, creative and innovative people and submitting them to His Excellency the Dean of the College of Medicine. Organizing competitions and challenges to encourage students and motivate them to develop their innovative ideas and turn them into successful business projects, which enhances the spirit of innovation and leadership among students. And providing students with training in entities that promote entrepreneurship. Business and innovation.
27. Develop a plan for student exchange with the college’s international reference in the field of college specializations, send a number of distinguished college students annually to spend a semester or summer training, receive a number of distinguished visiting international students for a semester in the college’s programs, and communicate with the Public Relations and Media Unit at the College of Medicine. And the university to highlight the awards received by male and female students.
