About the department

Family and Community Medicine was established in 1390 AH (1970) and has two units: the Family Medicine Unit and the Community Medicine Unit.

The department applies modern theories in medical education and use field study to prepare students to understand, discover and prepare the right solutions for community health problems.

The primary goal of the department is to prepare a doctor who is specially qualified to face health problems in the Kingdom and to acquire the skills and knowledge that enable him to serve the family and the community.
