Elective Studies I (ELC 101) and Elective Studies 2 (ELC 102)

These two courses are elective mandatory courses offered in fourth and fifth year. These provide the students a chance to participate as active members of either a clinical or research team.The department offers a family medicine elective and a community medicine elective.

The competencies framework for clinical electives includes: medical knowledge, practice based learning , interpersonal and communication skills , professionalism , and systems based practice.Research project electives objectives will be developed on an individual basis.
