Community Medicine (COMM 311)

This is a 4-credit hour course that is also a core requirement for 3rd year medical students. This course introduces the students to basic public health concepts and practices, which encompasses major disciplines of public health including epidemiology, health policy, environmental and occupational health, and social and behavioral health sciences (biostatistics is addressed in CMED 305). Additionally, students are exposed to the important preventive medicine practices and services that should be available in any community.
