Problem Based Learning
The students of year 1 and 2 working in a group through PBL tutorials as they have the opportunity to generate a hypothesis, constructing mechanisms, developing an enquiry plan, ranking their hypothesis on the basis of available evidence, interpreting clinical and laboratory findings, identifying their learning needs, and dealing with uncertainty.
The responsibility of the staff in these courses, encouraging critical thinking; fostering self-directed learning and curiosity; monitoring group progress; and creating a learning environment that stimulates all members in the group’ generates deep understanding, and promotes teamwork.
