Medical Education Journal Club
Background:
Medical Education Scientific Journal club is an open forum for Medical Education department staff. The journal club meeting will be a great apportioning session to meet and discuss new topics in the field of medical education and to contribute to the improvement and development of the department. The objective is to meet, critically evaluate and discuss how scientific literature and research can be translated into practice, education, administration, and research in area of Medical Informatics, Medical Education, E-Learning, Simulation and curriculum development. It is an opportunity for staff to gather, learn, share, brainstorm, and challenge thinking in a friendly social environment and ways of practice, and set future direction in Medical Education.
Objectives:
• To discuss new trends in the field of Medical Education, Medical Informatics and E-learning by keeping up-to-date with current and future literature
• To update with the development and progress of Medical Education units
• To initiate and support the collaboration and cooperation between the department staff and within College of Medicine
• To invite expertise in Medical Education and Medical informatics internationally and nationally
• To encourage research in Medical Education Department • To motivate intradepartmental professional network
• To promote continuing professional development • To understand how results of scientific studies can be used in practice
• To appraise evidence based practice
• To share and explore new knowledge and research findings
• To discuss and exchange knowledge in the area of Health Informatics and Medical education
• To promote literature navigation and following the new scientific outcomes
