Clinical Skills and Simulation Center
Department of Medical Education Clinical Skills Unit has the function to plan and conduct clinical skills and simulation training toprovide learning opportunities for the medical students, interns, residents, faculty and allied healthcare staff.
Clinical Skills & Simulation Center’s subunits are a) Clinical Skills, b) Life Support Training, and c) Medical Simulation. A wide range of skills modules, from basic to complex, are included in the program which are essential for effective medical practice. Each subunit is recruited by full-time dedicated instructors to run the programs based on educational theory and research to comply with contemporary advancements in the medical education field. Participants are provided a variety of educational materials (i.e. part task trainers, models, manikins, high fidelity simulators, simulated patients, virtual patients) in a state of the art facility. They learn and practice skills in a structured, safe, stress-free environment without putting patients at risk.
