Genetic and Basic Science Research Unit
Genetic and Basic Science Research Unit:
The research unit is dedicated to support the research arm of the department. Its major mission is to provide technical assistance to the faculty in terms of study design and implementation as well as manipulating and analyzing the produced data. Moreover, the unit’s staff help the affiliated researchers in formatting and submitting their manuscripts for international publication. The unit is also responsible for teaching ocular epidemiology, research and biostatistics within the context of the KSU residency program including thesis monitoring and supervision as well as engaging medical students into research. The unit also carries out the prevention of blindness and community ophthalmology tasks and the corresponding commitments / activities.
