Optometry Unit

  • Optometry Unit:

The Optometry Unit at King Abdulaziz University Hospital provides comprehensive and diverse services through a fully integrated and specialized optometry team. The unit offers assessment and management of various visual disorders. Our optometrists evaluate and treat refractive errors by prescribing corrective eyeglasses and contact lenses for both adults and children. They also assess and manage strabismus, diplopia, and amblyopia, in addition to prescribing therapeutic contact lenses, including rigid and semi-rigid lenses, for keratoconus and irregular corneal conditions.

The unit is also distinguished by its Low Vision Clinic, which provides specialized visual aids designed to enhance residual vision and enable patients with low vision to perform daily tasks with greater independence.
