Cornea, Anterior Segment, and Refractive Surgery Unit:

The cornea unit (Anterior segment) is concerned with follow up, dignosis, and treatment of corneal, external eye diseases, and refractive surgery (PRK, LASIK, and phakic intraocular lenses) in addition to complicated cataract surgeries.

A number of highly qualified Saudi Consultants with local and external certificates are currently practicing their academic and clinical expertise in the unit.

The unit is equipped by state ofthe art highly sophisticated machines for diagnosis, treatment, and surgical intervenions making the unit a tertiary center for complicated cases from all over the Kingdom.

In addition, the unit organizes a subspecilaty fellowship program for ophthalmologists who are interested to pursue their career as cornea specialists. This program has been graduating effecient knowledgeable cornea surgeons for serving the increasing demand for this speciality in the countr
