•Our Department is firmly committed to excellence in education as well as outstanding research. We are determined to grow the intellect of our undergraduate and postgraduate students by providing excellent teaching and research facilities. Members of the faculty are actively involved in the educational Programmes of the colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Applied Medical Sciences and Nursing.

•We offer an integrated undergraduate course for medical students as well as postgraduate Programmes leading to the degrees of M.Sc. and Ph.D.

•Members of the department of physiology conduct research in various fields of Physiology such as Blood Physiology, Cardiovascular Physiology, Respiratory Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Gastrointestinal Physiology, Neuro-physiology, Reproductive and Endocrine Physiology at every level of biological organization: cellular, molecular and organ system. They are also involved in collaborative research with various clinical departments. The department has 2 student labs and 4 research labs for male students and same for female students. The research labs are: 

1.Special techniques lab.

2.Biomarkers lab.

3.Human research lab.

4.Molecular and stem cells lab.
