Neurosurgery Unit

About Us      
The Pediatric Surgery Unit in the Surgery Department at the College of Medicine, King Saud University, focuses on providing advanced academic education to undergraduate medical students, teaching them fundamental surgical concepts and practical skills in pediatric surgery. Students are trained in advanced surgical techniques and modern clinical practices through live surgery simulations and hands-on workshops. 
In addition to academic teaching, the unit performs a wide range of specialized pediatric surgeries.  
    
VISION

The Neurosurgery Unit in the Surgery Department at the College of Medicine, King Saud University, aims to be a leader in medical education, clinical training, and scientific research in the field of neurosurgery. The unit strives to provide outstanding education for undergraduate students, train residents in the neurosurgery residency program, and offer fellowship training for skull base surgery specialists. 
The unit is dedicated to delivering high-quality medical care in neurosurgery, spinal surgery, skull base surgery, and pediatric neurosurgery, using the latest surgical techniques. It also focuses on advancing clinical research that contributes to improving surgical outcomes and minimizing risks, thus achieving excellence in healthcare and advanced medical practices.

MISSION

The Neurosurgery Unit in the Surgery Department at the College of Medicine, King Saud University, aims to provide exceptional education and advanced training in the field of neurosurgery. The unit is dedicated to preparing a generation of skilled surgeons through teaching and training undergraduate students, neurosurgery residents, and fellows in skull base surgery. 
The unit is committed to delivering high-quality medical care in neurosurgery, spinal surgery, skull base surgery, and pediatric neurosurgery, using the latest surgical techniques. The unit strives for excellence in neurosurgery by developing innovative educational programs and advancing scientific research that contributes to improving treatment outcomes and minimizing surgical risks, thus enhancing patient health.  
   

SCOPE OF SERVICE:

Teaching undergraduate courses as well as surgical residency and fellowship programs. Surgical Operations as well as patients follow up.
