The role of CMRC can be stated as follows:

1. To carry out applied clinical and scientific research on problems related to medicine and the national health.
2. To contribute to the development of medical education of both staff and students by organizing research seminars and workshops.
3. To encourage and facilitate research by faculty members senior and graduate students in the field of medicine by the provision of technical and financial assistance.
