About the department:
Physiology department is one of the basic health science departments of King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was established in 1391 H (corresponding to 1971), it has been involved in various academic and research activities.
We also oversees the clinical work of the Clinical Physiology Department at King Khalid University Hospital as well as King Abdulaziz University Hospital.
The department teaches the Faculty of Medicine students as well as students of other faculties of health, including the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences and College of Nursing.
In addition, we offers a Postgraduate Program (Master - PhD) in Physiology in cooperation with the Medical Center for Postgraduate Studies in the Faculty of Medicine.
We seeks to be a prominent and recognized department in the field of physiology throughout the Middle East. We also seeks to increase and expand the intellectual capacity of both medical students and postgraduate students by providing excellent research and teaching methods.
Our mission is to conduct world-class research and to provide high scientific degrees to graduate students with high and excellent outputs which is considered as one of the highest international standards to enable them to provide the best health care services to our society and abroad.
We also committed to the College of Medicine at King Saud University mission in research activities aimed at solving health problems related to the Saudi society.
