Message from the Chairman

Behind every sound treatment decision is an accurate diagnosis. In many cases, that diagnosis begins in a pathology laboratory. This is the significance of our work: although it may often take place beyond the patient’s direct view, it remains central to the patient’s journey toward timely diagnosis and appropriate care.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Pathology at the College of Medicine, King Saud University. Our department brings together faculty members, consultants, and specialists across pathology and laboratory medicine, working collectively to educate future physicians, train pathology specialists, and support diagnostic excellence in close integration with King Saud University Medical City.

We believe that the value of an academic department is measured not only by its people, but by the impact it leaves on its students, trainees, researchers, and the wider healthcare community. Guided by this belief, we focus our efforts on rigorous medical education, high-quality specialist training, meaningful research, and professional contributions that strengthen diagnostic quality and laboratory medicine.
