Department Units

• Exam and Evaluation Unit:

Concerned with exams and performance evaluation development to the latest required quality standards and provide it to students in collaboration with faculty members of the courses.

• Curriculum Development Unit:

Concerned with developing educational curriculum and promoting the educational process by communicating with faculty and students as well as encouraging scientific research. The unit also contributes in raising the quality level of the educational process while ensuring the application of international standards in medical education.

• Scientific Research Unit:

Concerned with promoting scientific research activities among students and provides the necessary support for writing, publishing and funding scientific research as well as connect researchers.

• Small Learning Groups Unit:

Aims to add problem-based education to the curriculum as well as develop students' thinking and problem solving skills through producing and developing the required subjects, cooperate with faculty members, evaluate the educational process and collect feedback from students and faculty members.

• E-Learning and Medical Informatics Unit:

This unit aims at activating the use of e-learning in the educational process and providing the latest technical developments for faculty members that support the educational process. It is also keen to keep abreast of the latest developments in medical education technologies that meet international standards. It also teaches Medical Informatics for undergraduate and postgraduate students and is particularly concerned with the development of scientific research and raising awareness of the importance of Medical Informatics in medical services.

• Training and Skills Development Unit for Faculty Members:

This unit provides the necessary training courses for the development of the skills of the faculty members and prepares the tests that are subject to international standards with the cooperation of the concerned organizations and departments locally and regionally.
