Our Transfusion Medicine and Cellular Therapy Postgraduate Program offers comprehensive training in the advanced clinical and laboratory aspects of transfusion medicine, blood banking, and cellular therapy Designed for medical professionals seeking specialization, this program equips participants with cutting edge knowledge and practical experience essential for leadership roles in hospital transfusion services, blood centers, and cellular therapy laboratories

  • In depth study of blood banking, transfusion practices, and hemostasis management.

Applicants must be Board eligible or certified in clinical pathology, hematopathology, or another appropriate specialty (e.g., clinical hematology). Applicants must be eligible for KSU and Saudi Commission for health specialist’s medical licensure. We target applications from KSU board eligible individuals from Anatomic/Clinical pathology (AP/CP), Clinical Pathology (CP), Hematopathology, Internal Medicine and pediatrics specialized in hematology.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will:

  • Gain expertise in managing transfusion services and implementing safe, effective transfusion protocols.
  • Understand the regulatory, ethical, and operational challenges in blood banking and cellular therapies.
  • Develop advanced skills in the collection, processing, and clinical use of cellular products.
