Clinical Services
Renal Dialysis Unit
- Hemodialysis is being administered for renal replacement therapies
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy is performed when patients requiring dialysis cannot tolerate a regular four-hour hemodialysis treatment
- Plasmapheresis is applied when removal of blood component in the body is needed.
Peritoneal Dialysis Unit
- Assessment and planning for selected patients to undergo peritoneal dialysis
- Educate patients and families regarding peritoneal dialysis
- Training patients and families on CAPD and CCPD as well as exit site care
- Providing pre and post PD catheter insertion care
- Following plan of care and response to the care, including referrals and social report.
- Facilitating and organizing the outpatient clinic for PD patients by:
- Routine blood extraction for various investigations
- Facilitate and assess, the studies done for PD patients
- Preparing and assisting procedures in 23A treatment room (renal Biopsy Central Venous Cannnulation, Perm Catheter Removal, etc)
- Schedule and perform KT/V and PET test for PD patients
- Participating in inpatients activities by doing daily round with PD patients
- Management of acute PD related problems in day care setting including:
- Peritonitis
- Catheter malfunction
- Fluid overload
- Inflow / outflow problems
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy Service
- Transplant Service
In Patient and Out Patients
- Primarily responsible for the care and interval follow-up of renal patients.
- Perform patient consultations and follow-up
- Do evaluation, diagnosis and management of renal patients
