Renal Dialysis Unit

• Hemodialysis is being administered for renal replacement therapies
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy is performed when patients requiring dialysis cannot tolerate a regular four-hour hemodialysis treatment
• Plasmapheresis is applied when removal of blood component in the body is needed.

Peritoneal Dialysis Unit

• Assessment and planning for selected patients to undergo peritoneal dialysis
• Educate patients and families regarding peritoneal dialysis
• Training patients and families on CAPD and CCPD as well as exit site care
• Providing pre and post PD catheter insertion care
• Following plan of care and response to the care, including referrals and social report.
• Facilitating and organizing the outpatient clinic for PD patients by:
  • Routine blood extraction for various investigations
  • Facilitate and assess, the studies done for PD patients
• Preparing and assisting procedures in 23A treatment room (renal Biopsy Central Venous Cannnulation, Perm Catheter Removal, etc)
• Schedule and perform KT/V and PET test for PD patients
• Participating in inpatients activities by doing daily round with PD patients
• Management of acute PD related problems in day care setting including:
  • Peritonitis
  • Catheter malfunction
  • Fluid overload
  • Inflow / outflow problems
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy Service
• Transplant Service

In Patient and Out Patients

• Primarily responsible for the care and interval follow-up of renal patients.
• Perform patient consultations and follow-up
• Do evaluation, diagnosis and management of renal patients
