  Gastrointestinal Physiology

The aim of the Gastrointestinal Physiology Laboratory is to further understand the regulation of gastrointestinal motility in both health and in disease. The laboratories collaborate on projects with a shared interest in gastrointestinal smooth muscle cells, interstitial cells of Cajal, and enteric nerves.

  Neurophysiology

The Neurophysiology Lab in the department offers patients complete diagnostic testing for neurological conditions. This specialty lab is staffed by skilled technicians who use state-of-the-art equipment to perform the following tests:

  • Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
  • Electroencephalogram (EEG)
  • ENG
  • Sleep-Deprived Electroencephalogram
  • Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP)
  • Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP)
